How to reach Pithoragarh from Delhi
Travel to Pithoragarh is not included in the package, and your yatra begins on Day 1 in Pithoragarh. Delhi is roughly 480 km away by road, and most visitors combine a train with a taxi.
By train and taxi
Take a train from New Delhi to Kathgodam (the Shatabdi Express is a popular choice), or from Delhi to Tanakpur, the closest railhead. Continue to Pithoragarh by taxi. Book on IRCTC and check current schedules.
By road
About 480 km, usually a full day's drive, via Bareilly and Tanakpur or via Haldwani. Start early, as hill roads are slower than the distance suggests.
By air
Fly into Delhi first. Pantnagar Airport is one option, and the small Naini Saini airstrip is close to Pithoragarh town. Flight availability changes, so check current schedules before you book.
